Robert Bennett Lubic Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    WASHINGTON, DC, June 14, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Robert Bennett Lubic with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Lubic celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. With more than 60 years of industry experience to his credit, Mr. Lubic has been a lawyer with a private practice in arbitration since 2018, as well as a professor emeritus with the Washington College of Law at American University since 2000. Prior to these appointments, he served the Washington College of Law at American University as a professor of law from 1965 to 2000 and an associate dean from 1970 to 1971. Previously, he worked as an assistant professor of law with the School of Law at Duquesne University from 1963 to 1965 and in his private practice from 1959 to 1963. Mr. Lubic began his career as an attorney and advisor for the Federal Communications Commission from 1957 to 1959.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Lubic pursued an education at the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1950 and 1953, respectively. Following these accomplishments, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving until his honorable discharge in 1955. Mr. Lubic completed his academic efforts in 1959, graduating from Georgetown University with a Master of Laws in patent law.

A former member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Federal Communications Bar Association, Mr. Lubic has been licensed to practice by the Pennsylvania Bar Association since 1953. Likewise, he was admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in 1958, the Supreme Court of the United States in 1958, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in 1964. Mr. Lubic has also conducted legal work for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office with the U.S. Department of Commerce in 1959.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Lubic has contributed to numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. An embassy consultant for the Republic of Georgia, he worked as president of WRGI-AM-FM from 1974 to 1977, labor consultant for the Government of Bermuda in 1985, and chief executive officer of GlobalMedArb LLC from 2000 to 2010. He held the position of visiting professor for the International Christian University Japan from 1988 to 1989, the School of Law of the University of Puerto Rico in 1993, the East China University of Political Science and Law 1994, the University of Warsaw in 1995, and the University of Turin in 1997. Mr. Lubic has found much success with his creative works as well, having authored "Secrets of My Father" in 2015.

On the panel of conciliators and arbitrators for the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, Mr. Lubic presently maintains involvement as a permanent panel arbitrator for the U.S. Postal Systems since 1978, a permanent panel arbitrator for the U.S. Department of Labor since 1982, and an arbitrator for the Public Employee Relations Board in Washington, DC, since 1984. He also has participated on the Public Employee Relations Board in the Virgin Islands since 1982, on the Public Employee Relations Board for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority since 2001, and as a hearing examiner for the Library of Congress since 2001. Additionally, Mr. Lubic has held the position of director of the Labor Disputes Resolution Seminar in Bermuda from 1982 to 1983 and the Bahamas in 1983, creator and director of the Eastern European Summer Law Program in Moscow and Warsaw from 1979 to 1981, creator and director of the Chinese-American Summer Law Program in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong from 1984 to 1986, and the co-director of the Middle East Summer Law Program in Jerusalem in 1976 and 1978.

In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Lubic has accrued several accolades and honors throughout his impressive career. In 1981, he was presented with an Outstanding Teacher Award from the Student Bar Association at American University. Mr. Lubic has been selected for inclusion in many editions of Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the World.
