Scotia Board of Directors welcomes new director after another departs

Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago has announced changes within its Board of Directors.

Effective March 11, Anya Schnoor retired from the Board of Directors of Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Limited.

Schnoor is a former Managing Director of the Bank who assumed a new role within the international bank of Executive Vice President, Global Insurance in November 2024.

The Board congratulated her on the appointment and thanked her for her invaluable contribution to Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Limited over the years. The Board also wished her continued success in all her endeavours.

With Schnoor’s departure Jabar Singh was elected a director of the Board of Directors of Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Limited.

Singh is the President and CEO of Scotiabank Colpatria and leads the Bank's Caribbean and Central America Region.

The bank said Singh is a seasoned leader with extensive experience across the Bank's various business lines and countries.

Singh joined Scotiabank in 2009, and has held progressively senior roles in Corporate, Investment, and Commercial Banking across Canada, the Dominican Republic and Chile, culminating in his current position in Colombia where he has been pivotal in shaping and executing the Bank's strategy.
