NEW DELHI: Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange were trading 22 points, or 0.19 per cent, higher at 11,357, indicating a positive start for Dalal Street. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today’s trade:

ZEEL: VTB Capital, an arm of the Russian financial services house VTB Group says it has enforced certain securities rights granted to the lenders to the promoters of Zee Entertainment in order to protect the interest of the lenders

YES Bank, Fortis Healthcare: The private sector lender offloaded 6.56 per cent stake in leading hospital chain Fortis Healthcare for a little over Rs 645 crore through an open market transaction.

HUL: FMCG major Hindustan Unilever (HUL) reported a 21.18 per cent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 1,848 crore for the quarter ended on September 30, 2019, mainly driven by home care, and beauty and personal care verticals.

Jet Airways: An ongoing probe against Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal has revealed that the grounded carrier entered into illegal agreements with related offshore parties based in tax havens at rates way above market prices, causing losses to the airline as well as the national exchequer.

HDIL: The arrested HDIL promoters allegedly siphoned off funds from PMC Bank via overdraft facilities and the money was “disguised” as loan accounts, an EOW probe found.

Indiabulls Housing Finance: Moody's has downgraded Indiabulls Housing Finance’s corporate family rating and the home financier’s foreign-currency senior secured rating to B2 from Ba2. Meanwhile, the NBFC will consult Sebi about its eligibility to buy back shares given the regulations on the ideal capital structure.

Wipro: Analysts tracking the IT major have estimated a 3-4 per cent drop in sequential profit due to lower other income. They see revenue rising 1-2 per cent QoQ in constant currency (CC) terms, much in line with the company’s 0-2 per cent revenue guidance for the quarter. Margins may see some pressure due to wage hikes, they said.

Adani Gas: French energy giant Total will buy 37.4 per cent stake in Adani Gas, marking another big-ticket entry of a global major in India’s energy market after Shell and BP which are already in India, and Reliance Industries Ltd’s talks for a possible sale of 20 per cent of its core oil-to-chemicals division to Saudi Aramco.

Adani Transmission: The company has signed a share purchase agreement and completed the acquisition of the WRSS XXI (A) Transco Ltd, incorporated by REC Transmission Projects Company.

Lakshmi Vilas Bank: The Reserve Bank has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 1 crore on Lakshmi Vilas Bank and Rs 75 lakh on Syndicate Bank for violating asset classification and fraud detection norms.

M&M: Mahindra’s truck and bus division, which achieved cash break-even for a quarter last financial year, is expected to slip back into the red in FY20, in step with the steep decline in the sales of commercial vehicles in the country.

RIL: The joint venture of RIL and BP can sell natural gas from its KG deep sea project to its affiliates without violating the terms of its production sharing contract with the government, BP group CEO Bob Dudley has said.

Andhra Bank: The state-run lender will cut the marginal cost of funds-based lending rates (MCLR) by 10 basis points across tenors from Tuesday.

Canara Bank: The public sector lender said it will cut deposit rates by 0.25 percentage points with effect from October 15, 2019.

India Grid InvIT Fund, IRB InvIT Fund and IndInfravit: Banks will now be allowed to lend to InvITs or infrastructure investment trusts. The sanctioning of these loans, however, would be subject to tighter parameters of scrutiny such as having board-approved policies on exposures, compliance with prescribed leverage ratios and tighter underwriting norms for SPV-linked funds.
