About Sustainable Energy
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd (www.sustainableenergy.com) designs, manufactures and distributes power inverters for grid-connected solar PV systems. Advanced power inverters are a critical enabler of all modern solar PV power systems, converting the direct current (&quot;DC&quot;) power output of the solar PV modules into the high quality alternating current (&quot;AC&quot;) power required by the power grid. Advanced power inverters also optimize the performance of the solar PV modules and maintain the integrity and safety of the interconnection with the power grid.

Sustainable's inverter technology levers the lower cost/watt of PV modules in rooftop and building integrated applications by allowing each module to operate at is optimum power point, dramatically increasing total system yield under real world conditions, simplifying system design and installation and reducing balance of system cost.

With conventional solar inverters, each of the PV modules in a string will operate at the level of the poorest performing module. This will typically be caused by (i) partial shading of the PV modules from normal building congestion (e.g. from chimneys, parapets, railings power lines, telecommunications towers, etc), debris and dirt (ii) variances in power output due to variances of the orientation of the PV modules (e.g. building angles curvatures etc.) and (iii) variances in module manufacturing tolerances.

Avoiding the disproportionate impact of these factors on system performance now requires complex site specific custom design of the system, increasing system cost, and limits the number of locations where solar power can be deployed economically.
Sustainable's technologies enable a &quot;parallel&quot; system architecture, which limits the disproportionate effect of partial shading on system performance, and eliminates module mismatch losses from variances in orientation of the modules and/or manufacturing tolerances. The Company's patented approach is the first to enable a &quot;parallel&quot; architecture in high power ratings, with high efficiencies, and with a form factor, and a cost per watt that the industry expects.

DOG EATS HOUSE

Sheffield, MA - January 7, 2009 -- Dogga Brown: The $50,000 Dog is the story of the author's ill-fated entrance into the dog market many years ago when he purchased for a two-dollar contribution to the Humane Society one genuine brown dog. The purchase price for this animal turned out to be one of the most deceptive deposits ever put down on anything in the history of financial transactions. By the time the dog “crossed over” fifteen years later, her psychotic behavior had cost the writer over $57,000 and driven him into long-term psychotherapy with the eminent but highly eccentric Dr. Harry Frale.

This book will strike a chord with anyone who has had the misfortune of living with a disturbed dog whose destructive conduct has led to financial distress. And although the passing years since the dog's demise have enabled the author to fall off of his chair from laughter when reading passages of this hilarious tragedy to friends and family, the actual events did not seem the least bit funny at the time. After all, reducing a house to its foundation, several sofas to their inner springs and a front door to sawdust is not the sort of thing any of us had in mind from a relationship with man's best friend.

The only remaining dilemma for the reader is to determine whose behavior was more bizarre. Was it the dog's outrageous transgressions? Or was it the remarkably unusual deportment of the psychotherapist?

Charles Steinhacker is an internationally known photographer whose color images of the landscape, wildlife, architecture and abstraction have been featured in National Geographic, Life and many other major magazines. He has published four coffee-table books of his photographs, created the photography program at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT and is represented in museum and corporate collections. He lives in Sheffield, MA with his artist wife, Linda Clayton. This is the first book he has published as a writer.

<description>
ST. LOUIS, MO - January 6, 2009 -- MYNAH Technologies announces the release of its MiMiC v3.1.0 Simulation Software for operator training and automation system testing. This release includes major enhancements that provide greater simulation dynamics, performance and ease-of-use.

The new MiMiC Server release provides multi-user support to a single MiMiC application based upon Microsoft's Server 2003 Remote Terminal Services. This option allows up to ten users access to the same MiMiC
application from a standard Microsoft Windows XP or Vista desktop. It allows remote access for simulation development, large-scale automation system testing, or multiple operator training instructor stations. As part of the MiMiC Server, MYNAH's development team built the MiMiC Access Control Layer. This application works with Microsoft Server 2003 to coordinate the access requests of users on the system, protect the integrity of the simulation database, and simplify the management of the multi-user simulation environment.

The enhanced MiMiC Operator Training Manager is a complete redesign that simplifies the development and execution of operator training sessions while providing additional flexibility and capabilities. The Operator Training Manager in MiMiC v3.1.0 runs as a service instead of an application, allowing the user to configure training scenarios, take Process Snapshots, and run operator training sessions directly from MiMiC Explorer. In addition, training sessions and process snapshots can be loaded and run from the graphical MiMiC Component Studio. Component Studio can now provide the full functionality of an operator training instructor station including the ability to drive ad-hoc training scenarios.
An enhanced OPC Server is a standard part of MiMiC v3.1.0, allowing open access to process models, operator training scenarios, process snapshot controls, and global registers when MiMiC is off or on-line. This allows the user open access and integration with 3rd-party simulation packages or data visualization systems such as plant
dashboards.

The new MiMiC v3.1.0 Simulated IO Driver for HIMA provides a high performance simulation interface for HIMA's RTS Soft PLC Visualization Gateway application. It can be used only with a HIMA system or in combination with any basic process control system using HIMA for the safety system.

MiMiC v3.1.0 has been released for any new system purchases. MiMiC users who are current on MiMiC Software Support can upgrade to MiMiC v3.1.0 for no additional charge.

MiMiC Simulation Software is a dynamic process and I/O simulation solution designed for automation system testing and operator training. MiMiC is scalable from small to large projects, offering a solution for any process industry user. Unlike other simulation offerings, MiMiC is designed to be implemented by the end-user so that
developing, modifying, and maintaining dynamic simulation is easy and cost-effective.
MiMiC works with many off-line process control systems, including Emerson Process Management DeltaV, Schneider Electric Unity and Quantum platforms, Previse ABB Simulator, and other automation systems that support the OPC or Open Modbus TCP/IP protocols. By testing their automation system and training operators with MiMiC, process companies worldwide have increased product quality while reducing time to market, cost, and risk. MiMiC is a proven tool for both Capital Project Excellence (CapEx) and Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiatives.

New Bulk REO Website Simplifies And Expedites Real-Estate Auction Sales For Institutional Sellers And Buyers

Where Institutional Sellers and Buyers make deals

Surprise, AZ - January 5, 2009 -- Global Asset Clearinghouse LLC is in position to launch it's one-of-a-kind auction website for institutional sellers and pre qualified buyers of bulk REO. &quot;Our site is designed from the ground up, strictly for institutional sellers and pre qualified buyers,&quot; said Jose Maldonado, Director of Operations.

Maldonado went on to say, &quot;All accounts are pre screened and qualified for ability. We implement a unique and anonymous open auction platform  where bids are seen allowing the sellers to set reserve pricing to try to meet their price points. Sellers also have the ability to set bid increments. We utilize popcorn bidding which simulates a real live auction. If a bid is placed in the last minutes of an auction, the auction is extended by 10 minutes allowing for a late bidder and also increasing the chance of reaching price points for the seller. Sealed bidding is not an ethical practice in my opinion, as we really never know if the winner is the highest bidder. Therefore we designed our website to be fully transparent to all parties involved.&quot;

Unique Features

    * Sellers
    * Sellers pay no fees
    * Sellers have access to valuable information not found elsewhere
          o Real Market Value for their Real-Estate Assets
    * Pre-screened buyers, proofed for maximum financial capacity
    * Live online bid tracking
    * Anonymous listings to insure privacy
    * Buyers
    * No cost to buyer
          o Only winning bidders pay a transaction fee; No commission
    * All sellers are pre-screened for portfolio capacity
    * Anonymous bidding to insure privacy
    * Expedited closings

A step towards timely flood forecasting -- Satellite rainfall estimation comes to South Asia

EIN News -(Kathmandu, 05 January 2009)

A five-day workshop on 'Application of Satellite Rainfall Estimation in the Hindu Kush-Himalayan (HKH) region' concluded on Friday in Kathmandu, Nepal. Technical experts from national hydrological and meteorological services and academic institutions in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan were joined by experts from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and Japan, to develop the application of satellite rainfall estimation methods in the countries of the Hindu Kush-Himalayan region. The workshop was an important step towards improved forecasting of floods and monitoring of droughts by improving estimation of rainfall using advanced remote sensing tools. At present, rainfall measurements in the mountain regions of the extended Himalayan change are very limited as large parts of the region are poorly accessible and have limited infrastructure, and there are very few ground-based monitoring stations. But it is this rainfall that is mainly responsible for the downstream floods in South Asia.

Sponsored by the US Agency for International Development's Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA) through a Subaward with the University Corporation of Atmospheric Research (UCAR), and organised by the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) in Kathmandu, the workshop held from 15-19 December 2008 was a part of the second phase of a project on Application of Satellite Rainfall Estimation (SRE) in the HKH region which will run from December 2008 to June 2010. The Phase 2 project builds upon the outcomes of, and seeks to address the gaps identified in the first phase. The aim is to conduct rigorous validation of the satellite rainfall estimates developed by the NOAA Climate Prediction Centre for various rainfall regimes, and to improve the satellite-based rainfall estimates and apply them to the stream-flow model developed by USGS to simulate the flooding in the greater Himalayan region. The five-day workshop reviewed the achievements of the first phase on validation of rainfall estimates and testing of the USGS stream-flow model in pilot catchments. The workshop contributed substantially to strengthening the capability of member countries to work with satellite rainfall estimates, and furthered the training in and transfer of the NOAA/USGS technology to the partners. The hydrologists and meteorologists of the Himalayan region were able to discuss and clarify difficulties in validation of satellite rainfall estimates in their respective countries and come up with practical applications for drought and flood monitoring in partnership with ICIMOD, NOAA, and USGS.

Accurate estimates of rainfall are needed to forecast floods and droughts, and minimise their impacts. Until recently, the main method used to estimate rainfall in an area was interpolation of measurements from a network of hydro-meteorological stations. The closer the spacing between stations, the more accurate the total rainfall estimate. In mountainous areas, however, measuring stations are often few and far between, and the available rainfall information is inadequate for forecasting floods with any certainty. The Himalayan satellite rainfall estimation projects will help countries in the region to estimate rainfall better using satellite observations, and will assist the countries to build and enhance their capacity in rainfall estimation and applications. It is hoped that the improved rainfall estimates will contribute to enabling reliable and timely flood forecasts and warning, and contribute to minimising loss of life and property in the region.

<title>The Doctors' Star Sports New, High Performance Lab Coats Designed by Medelita</title>

Medelita's breakthrough performance lab coat works overtime on the new medical TV show set

San Clemente, CA, December 18, 2008 /PRAvenueNW/-- Medelita™, maker of breakthrough medical apparel for female clinicians, announced today that Dr. Lisa Masterson of the CBS television show, “The Doctors” wears a new, high performance lab coat designed by Medelita. Specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Masterson is one of four distinguished physicians who discuss various health related topics and answer questions from viewers. The new television show, which debuted in September, 2008, is produced by Stage 29 Productions and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Jay McGraw, Carla Pennington and Dr. Phil McGraw are executive producers.

“The Medelita lab coat was chosen for it's aesthetic appeal as well as for its performance during long days on the set,” said Amanda Linton, “The Doctors” costumer. “A medical environment is where uniforms are really road-tested, but in television, it's all about the style and that's where the Medelita lab coat meets both criteria.”

In addition to her regular appearances on “The Doctors,” Masterson is on staff at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and maintains a private practice in Santa Monica. The telegenic doctor can be seen regularly on the syndicated series along with three other physicians: Dr. Travis Stork, who was ABC's “The Bachelor” in Paris; Plastic Surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon; and Pediatrician Dr. Jim Sears, of the renowned Sears family of pediatricians.

The lab coat used on the set of “The Doctors” is designed by Medelita, a uniform company, founded by a practicing physician assistant, that specializes in high-end scrubs and lab coats for female clinicians — physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Made of high tech fabrics that possess a breakthrough combination of properties, the Medelita lab coat is designed to repel fluids and retards wrinkles. Exposure to heat from an iron or dryer recharges the fabric's stain fighting ability.

“We are flattered that our lab coat is worn by Dr. Masterson on the show,” said Medelita Founder Lara Manchik. “Masterson is the epitome of a high achieving female healthcare professional — exactly the person for whom I developed Medelita's line of high performance lab coats and scrubs. As a doctor, she has experience and qualifications and, as a TV personality, she will be judged equally on presentation and credentials.”

The philosophy behind the development of Medelita was, and continues to be, a desire to create a uniform that aptly reflects the enormous strides that female clinicians have made in their profession, and the high standards to which they hold themselves. As an emergency room physician assistant, Manchik's own experiences convinced her that the frumpy unisex garb of past failed to convey clinical competence and professionalism. She left healthcare and created Medelita as a departure from the boxy doctor's lab coats - made for the male figure and representative of a time when men dominated all clinical fields of medicine.

Made from high-denier, 100-percent brushed cotton, high performance fabrics. Medelita lab coats are designed specifically for women with a focus on fit and function. The tailored lab coat has a feminine shape with a rounded collar, hidden inside pocket, traditional side slits, and French finish inside seams. The fluid-resistant Medelita lab coat is available in sizes 0 to 20, with optional custom embroidery.

In addition to high quality lab coats, Medelita provides a line of performance women's healthcare apparel, including clinician scrubs and nursing scrubs, which are available for purchase at www.medelita.com.

About The Doctors
From the creative team behind the long-running hit series “Dr. Phil,” “The Doctors,” does for health care what “Dr. Phil” has done for down-to-earth discussions of emotional and psychological issues. The series' experts, ER physician (and former ABC “Bachelor” in Paris) Dr. Travis Stork, obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Lisa Masterson, plastic surgeon and reconstructive surgery expert Dr. Andrew Ordon and pediatrician Dr. James Sears, focus on the compelling, real-life experiences of the show's guests and then weigh in, disseminating valuable information about health, medical care and drugs in a compelling, informal, easy-to-understand and entertaining format. “The Doctors,” taped in front of a live audience in Hollywood, is produced by Stage 29 Productions and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Jay McGraw, Carla Pennington and Dr. Phil McGraw are executive producers.

About Medelita
Medelita has one purpose: to reinvent the way women of all healthcare professions present themselves at work by offering the highest quality, best fitting, and most comfortable medical apparel available, including lab coats, women's scrubs and nursing scrubs. Medelita caters to professional women who want their uniforms to embody the poise and confidence already displayed from within. New .Me Website Helps People Save Money on Prescription Medicine

It's all about .Me Helping People Save Money ...and Everyone Qualifies

Palm Beach Gardens, FL - December 15, 2008 -- Another website has been generated using the record breaking .me extension (as opposed to .com, .net, etc.). The very popular dot me domains, are the fastest selling domain extension ever to launch on the Internet.

The new website www.FreeRxCard.me generates a free personalized discount card. &quot;Imagine a free healthcare card that can be used at over 56,000 pharmacies with savings up to 75% on prescription medicine. Free means free; no one ever pays a dime to access these savings.&quot;

The average savings is 20% - 50% depending on the type of drug. Generic drugs typically have larger savings than brand names. There are also significant savings on lab and imaging tests as well as diabetic testing supplies.

&quot;We wanted to choose a domain name very carefully, www.FreeRxCard.me tells people exactly what we do. We feel .me is very easy to remember; a domain name that people feel is personalized just like the product we represent.&quot;

While many generic, short .com names are selling for millions, .me is getting a lot of attention, selling for high prices, but not as high as the .com.

Users can generate their free personalized Drug Card through FreeRxCard.me or simply cut out this pre-activated card and present it to the pharmacy the next time they fill their prescription.
