Hurley & Associates has announced the hiring of Jason Frey as farm marketing consultant. Frey is a licensed commodities broker and works closely with farm clients' budgets, cash flow requirements and risk management strategies to work toward profitability with each crop year.

Frey was raised on a diversified small grain and registered cattle operation in north-central North Dakota near Granville. After high school, he continued his education at North Dakota State University, graduating with a degree in animal and range sciences. Since his time at NDSU, Frey has been involved in the banking industry, working for Wells Fargo Bank N. A. in Aspen, Colo., and later as a loan officer at Dakota Community Bank & Trust in Dickinson. He also has experience in real estate sales and development, and helped start a real estate brokerage company in Bozeman, Mont. Most recently, he has been involved in livestock marketing and sales, covering North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota for the Western Ag Reporter.

Looking to use his gifts and the Hurley approach to commodity marketing to be an advocate for his clients' operations and financial well-being, Frey said he is excited with his new role.

"We are happy to welcome Jason to the Hurley family," said Trent Hurley, CEO of Hurley & Associates. "He brings a passion for agriculture to the table, which will translate to helping his clients reach their goals and grow their operations."
