MOSCOW, April 19 (Reuters) - The Russian Finance Ministry bought 17.5 billion roubles ($287.1 million) worth of foreign currency on Tuesday, Russian central bank data showed on Thursday.

The central bank issues data on finance ministry purchases with a two-day delay.

The finance ministry put its daily buying of foreign currency on hold on April 9 due to rouble weakness caused by U.S. sanctions. The central bank has said it still aims to complete its purchasing plan for this month.
