Edo College Old Boys Association (ECOBA), Lagos Branch, will today, honour some of its distinguished old boys, for their various achievements and contributions to development in the country and the world at large. The event comes up at 5:00pm, at the Metropolitan Club, Kofo Abayomi Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos Leading the pack of distinguished old boys to be honoured is Former MD/CEO of Nigeria Airports Authority and Principal General Staff Officer in the Presidency, Air Vice Marshal Joe Ehigie (Rtd.), who is being honoured with the Life Time Achievement Award and another excelling old boy, the United Kingdom based Dr. Tom Ilube, in the field of Cyber Technology and Educational Philanthropy.
The event to be chaired by Mr. Victor Odozi, Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), will have as Guest Speakers, Chief Amechi Obiora, and a Director of the Eko Hospital who will be speaking on Health and Ageging, and Ambassador Vincent Okobi, on Public Speaking. Others to be honoured are Mr. Aigbe Olotu, for Accounting and Financial Services, Mr. Charles Isa, for Banking and Ahuose Patrick Akhigbe, Old Boy of the Year. Established in 1937, the association recently celebrated the 80th of the school Edo College in Benin City, drawing many of its members across the globe to the ancient city for the festivities.
